Clan Color - Silver

Brief History: The legalist of the Quetz, the Sokee Socran were the first leaders of the Quetz upon achieving their sentient capabilities shortly after the mass extinction event that resulted in the death of all dinosaurs. From his desire to unite their species into an organized and productive civil society, Supreme Chancellor Aaug Kysar selected a handful of individuals to write a basic set of laws upon which they could fairly govern themselves. Because of these rules, the Quetz were able to quickly identify the strengths of all members in their race and then educate themselves accordingly via four different, though interlocking disciplines. Those whose abilities tended toward the philosophical were trained as free thinkers and became experts and arbiters of the law. They called themselves the Socrans. This clan chose silver for their family color as it represents beauty and strength.

Clan Color – Gold

Brief History: For those Quetz that enjoyed reading and writing literature as well as the study of history, they called themselves the Sokee Stora. This clan dedicated their time to the production and collection of all written and oral knowledge and eventually became the Quetz’s teachers and professors while following strict adherence to the methods established by their first elder, Primis Liburos. Although few of their elders ever achieved the status of supreme chancellor, due to their tendency to shy away from politics, those who did accept the highest level of authority among the clans did so begrudgingly and typically ruled the empire with peace in mind. Their choice of color gold for the clan color stems for their desire to seek purity through knowledge.

Clan Color - Copper

Brief History: The Sokee Seentia were those Quetz that were most fascinated with observing their environments. Their first elder, Atomus, was an avid physical scientist, always looking to the skies attempting to make observations about the sun, moon, and stars. Eventually, she developed a universal method to observe phenomena, experiment, and document results. Although many members of this clan were similar in nature to the Stora in their dislike of political machinations, many Seentia went on to take the seat of supreme chancellor in an effort to push greater Quetz emphasis towards science, engineering, and mathematics. As a result, Quetz technology remains unrivaled to this day. Their choice of color is copper as it is an abundant metallurgical resource that was critical for the production of their early circuitry.

Clan Color – Purple

Brief History: The last of the original four clans, the Sokee Draconem, are the warriors of the Quetz. This group preferred a life of combat and exercise training to academics. General Goliatus Akeela, their first elder was the strongest amongst her peers, as were her progeny. She ruled her clan with an iron claw, forging them into the unstoppable military force they are today. But, despite their natural strength, few of the Draconem ascended to the chancellorship for reasons they only know. However, General Goliatus Akeela forged an unbreakable pact with the other first clan elders. She swore a blood oath never to never allow her clan to make a coup on the government, swearing undying loyalty to whomever was supreme chancellor. To affect this, the supreme chancellor chooses his or her general, but the position is a life-time position until either the chancellor or the general dies. Purple was chosen as a clan color to represent the many painful bruises a Draconem must endure in both training and combat. In their clan, bumps and bruises are seen as badges of distinction.

Tenets – Loyalty, Sacrifice, Steadfast

Clan Color - Red

Brief History: This clan was formed as an emergency by the Supreme Chancellor Kiira-Ave Strongbird to counter the constant threat of assassination she faced at a time of emerging war with humanity. She appointed one of her rescuers, Major Kiln, who is not of royal blood. Because he was lifted up from a commoner’s life to that of royalty, he chose the color red for his Sokee colors so that all knew that he would bleed to ensure the safety of the Supreme Chancellor.
